How She's Participated: Attendee & Speaker
Future Store Highlights: : Jennifer is a big fan of the event – the topics covered, the presenters, the technologies exhibited, everything! Now she’s excited to be part of the Advisory Board for the 2018 Miami conference and looks forward to participating and contributing to the agenda.
It all started on LinkedIn…
…Kristin (the producer of the conference), reached out asking about a case study I posted and then asked me to present it at the Future Stores Miami conference. That was followed by another presentation at the Seattle conference in June. And now I’m part of the Advisory Board for the 2018 conferences!
I’m so excited to be part of the 2018 Advisory Board…
…I’m a huge fan of the Future Stores conference – it has had a real impact on the formulation of my own business strategies. Every time I attend, I come back with new ideas, new plans, new recommendations for my senior management. So it only made sense that I start contributing more to the event that has helped me grow professionally.
I’m all for my entire senior management team attending this event but…
…we have budget restraints! I’m going to have to settle for bringing my Regional Store Manager, instead. That said, I always make it a point to present my notes to the senior management team after I get back. There’s just so much to share and discuss.
This past event in Seattle, I was really impressed by the keynote presented by Scott Emmons (Neiman Marcus) on how they’re testing and researching technologies to adopt in their stores. Technology is always front of mind for us, especially in this past year. Attending this conference has really shed some light on how the industry is dealing with new technology, how budgets need to be created to adopt and implement them.
Speaking of technology, I’m very impressed with the line-up of solution providers exhibiting at this event!
I’ve had some great conversations with solution providers I’ve met through the conference. Square Root, Concrete – I’ve invited them back to our offices to present and discuss solutions with my management team. I’ve also developed a strong personal relationship Alison Medina (Design:Retail) who I met at the event. I’ve picked up the phone many times to discuss ideas and solutions with her. This is quickly becoming my go-to event to actively seek out what’s new in in-store tech.
Future Stores is the event for you IF…
…you like free flowing conversations that reveal challenges and road blocks. If you like meeting people that will become your future sounding boards for new ideas. If you like getting to know about technology solutions that can help innovate your in-store strategy. Then, it’s a no-brainer!
