Sapna and Guido Live in New York with their two young daughters Aviana and Anaya. Motivated by joint entrepreneurship, both had a desire to combine their skills and experience to create one company that could serve and dress the skin medically, cosmetically and fashionably. The acquisition of Journelle was an opportunity to accomplish this partnership, while saving a beautiful brand and retail lingerie concept from total closure. Incorporating long education and practice in dermatology, Sapna will lead the Journelle presentation selections and collaborative product development. This will be influenced by the latest trends in medical and cosmetic dermatology, including fabric and design solutions for sensitive skin conditions, UV protectant swim and beachwear, sexual wellness accessories and skin-friendly topicals. There has been increased focus in dermatology on rejuvenation of post-partum, post-surgical and post-trauma vaginal rejuvenation and breast reconstruction. Sapna has worked on the forefront of these treatments. She will directly incorporate this into Journelle with treatment regimens and product solutions. Through Journelle, she aims to be the first to marry the dressing room and the exam room into a single comfortable experience. Incorporating his life-long experience growing up alongside 37 years of family business and innovation at Cosabella, Guido will support Sapna and the Journelle team by building the Journelle brand world-wide through traditional wholesale and direct-to-consumer business. He will manage all vendor relationships and design development and continue building Journelle stores and product selection, further developing his connection with CFDA (Council of Fashion Designers of America), independent designers, global retailers and production partners. Journelle’s collection and third-party presentations will continue to focus on the themes of Emerging Designers, Core Fit Brands, Sexual Wellness and Exclusive Launches. Maternity, Plus & Petite, Medical & Post-Op, and Tween First Bra will all be launched in Fall. Global roll-out of the brand and stores is planned. The 3 storefronts in New York and 1 storefront in Chicago will remain open.
